KEVIN BROWN

Kevin Brown is the 18th President of Asbury University. Prior to higher education, he worked for nearly a decade in the banking industry, serving as a market president in his last four years. His graduate background incorporates economics, philosophy, and theology—and his research has sought to explore the interplay between these fields. Kevin is married to Maria and they have three children: Cambel (19), Ada (16), and Oliver (13).


KEYNOTE:

Revival and the Corrective Generation. In February of 2023, a regularly scheduled chapel service at Asbury University did not end for 16 days.  In sum, the multi-day services hosted approximately 50,000 guests.  We saw hundreds of millions of online views for the hashtag #AsburyRevival.  We had visitors from approximately 280 other colleges and universities representing 39 states.  We had both domestic and international travelers desperate and eager to get to Hughes Auditorium—every tribe, tongue, and nation.  

But if we narrow our focus to those days alone, I am increasingly convinced that we are missing a much larger story unfolding.  Specifically, a hungry hearted generation of Christ followers is emerging from the empty malaise of modern life.  Across the United States and the globe, something new is happening.  Could it be that we witnessing the rise of the corrective generation
